Coniglio’s is what a neighborhood pizza place should be: consistent, unapologetic, and perpetually busy at lunch. Nino Coniglio runs the kind of counter operation where the rhythm of the room tells you everything — the stacks, the slices, the regulars who order without looking at the menu.
About 200 pizzas leave this kitchen daily. The 2023 NJ Pizza Bowl win is on the record; what’s harder to quantify is how central Coniglio’s is to the actual day-to-day eating life of South Street. It’s not destination dining. It’s something more useful than that.
